Game Modes

Typing Musou has two pillars: solo Dojo modes and online Battle modes. The actual specifications for each are listed below.

Dojo — Solo Training

Home Position Dojo gate — illuminated keys and hand holograms
Stage-based

Home Position Dojo

Stage-based mode for learning home-row positioning step by step, with a guiding master from start to finish.

Specs
  • 100 stages (10 chapters × 10), unlocked sequentially
  • Widens gradually: letter drills → vowels → kana rows → voiced/contracted sounds & punctuation → words → sentences
  • Each chapter ends in a boss (sandbag → mini-samurai → …); stage 100 is the final duel vs. "Gatekeeper" (30 WPM / 85%)
Reward

200 MC per stage / 1,000 MC per chapter boss / 10,000 MC + "Licensed" title on stage 100

Battle — Fight Other Players

Battle Specs
  • Time limit: 180 seconds (same for every character)
  • SP cap: 100 (same for every character; consumed by skills)
  • HP, attack and defense multipliers vary per character (HP roughly 8,500–11,500; atk/def roughly 0.85–1.20)
  • On timeout the side with more remaining HP wins; equal HP is a draw
How 2v2 Tag Match works (Friend Battle)
  • Two players per team (one starter, one substitute); the match begins 1v1 between each team's starters
  • The substitute spectates the ally's fight in real time until tagged in
  • When a starter falls, the substitute is tagged in at their own character's full HP, while the opponent keeps their remaining HP (the fight carries over)
  • The match ends the moment both members of one team are down
  • On timeout (180s) the server totals each team's HP (active player's remaining HP + a living substitute's full HP); the higher team wins, equal totals draw
  • Choose 1v1 or 2v2 when creating the room; it starts once all four slots (two per team) are filled
